Looking Back: Smooth Jazz New York

Smooth Jazz New York wrapped up its successful 2014 summer and fall concert cruise series aboard the Hornblower Infinity last Friday, October 3. Performing aboard 12  cruises for a total of 21 shows, Smooth Jazz’s cruise series was a huge hit, with crowds averaging 400 concert-goers per cruise.

The 2014 Smooth Jazz New York cruise series line-up included:

  • June 12: Jazz Attack featuring Peter White, Rick Braun and Euge Groove
  • June 26: Patti Austin and Marion Meadows
  • July 3: Pieces of a Dream
  • July 10: Najee
  • July 17: David Sanborn
  • July 24: Will Downing with special guest Talent
  • July 31: Love & Soul Tour featuring Jonathan Butler, Norman Brown and Alex Bugnon
  • August 7: Maysa
  • August 14: Dave Koz & Friends Summer Horns Tour with special guests Gerald Albright, Richard Elliot, and Mindi Abair
  • August 21: Rachelle Ferrell
  • August 28: Boney James
  • October 3: Spyro Gyra

Smooth Jazz New York is a subsidiary of Marquee Concerts, the organization that produced the CD101.9 Smooth Cruises for the last 12 years. While CD101.9 is off the air, the station continues to produce and promote New York’s biggest and best Smooth Jazz shows. Smooth Jazz New York is the portal for live shows in the Greater New York Metro area.
